Angelina Jolie hints that her latest film influenced decision to leave Brad Pitt
It's been a rocky few months for Angelina Jolie but it appears things are now looking bright on the horizon. Angelina spoke freely in an interview opening up about her unbreakable bond with her six children and how she feels about being vilified as "cold" and "unrelatable" in the wake of her split from her husband of two years, Brad Pitt.
"They really help me so much. We’re really such a unit," she said. "They’re the best friends I’ve ever had. Nobody in my life has ever stood by me more."
The Oscar-winning actress, 42, announced her separation from the War Machine actor days after a physical altercation between Brad, 53, and their son Maddox while the family traveled on a private plane on September 14, 2016.
Since then, Angelina and the kids have moved out from Brad's estate. They lived in a rental home for nine months before moving into a sprawling, $25 million mansion in Los Feliz, California, earlier this summer."It took me a few months to realize that I was really going to have to do it. That there was going to have to be another base regardless of everything," said Angelina. "That there was going to have to be a home. Another home." Angelina has recently been promoting the new film she directed, First They Killed My Father, which is based off the story of her friend Loung Ung, who as a young girl survived the Cambodian genocide.
